WHAT DOES A TYPICAL SESSION LOOK LIKE?

PSYCHOTHERAPY/INTEGRATION SESSIONS
Working with me entails 50-min sessions. Most of the session time will be spent on talking and the cognitive process. The other portion (10-30 min, varies with each session), will be spent doing exercises using somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and/or hypnosis that will vary and will be tailored to your individual needs for each session.

A minimum number of sessions may be recommended in order to create long-lasting change. Typically, sessions take place weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on your needs.

KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)
Medical intake & prescription needs are completed with Journey Clinical while preparation, KAP session, and integration will be done with me. Sessions can be done in-person or via Telehealth. We will work in a collaborative care model with Journey Clinicial’s medical team to allow for your prescribing needs and to ensure optimal safety.

Please reach out to me direct to discuss details of structure and determine eligibility requirements. KAP sessions are typically 2-3 hours in duration. Preparatory and integration sessions are also required in addition to KAP sessions when choosing KAP. Multiple KAP sessions are generally recommended over the course of several weeks.

WHAT ARE YOUR SESSION FEES?

Session fees are $350/50-minutes. Sessions are provided primarily via Telehealth.

**My practice is currently full and I am unable to take in new clients. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist, you can contact me. Or reach out to trusted colleagues Alex Farbstein or Carol Benton listed on my Resources page. **

Sliding scale is considered for BIQPOC (Black, Indigenous, Queer, People of Color), underserved communities, and those in need. Please ask if you apply.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

No. I am considered out-of-network as an Associate MFT and can provide Superbills upon request. Also, depending on your insurance carrier, they may provide reimbursement for hypnotherapy/alternative medicine.

Instructions for Insurance Reimbursement for Hypnotherapy:

Ask your insurance carrier if they cover/reimburse for hypnotherapy or alternative medicine. Hypnotherapy is considered out-of-network. If they say yes, ask what is needed.

In general, insurance companies who reimburse will need a copy of the paid invoice along with a note from your medical doctor or licensed professional stating approval for you to have hypnotherapy for anxiety/depression/insomnia (or whatever specific condition you’re coming in for).

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

This will vary with each individual. A few things to consider to help answer this will be 1) the issue(s) you are coming in for 2) the intensity of your symptoms 3) how long you have had them 4) if you have addressed it in any way prior and/or 5) your level of self-awareness.

Some clients see me for a few sessions while some may see me for years if that is what feels most supportive. I give an assessment and a recommendation for a treatment plan at the end of our initial session. We assess and reassess frequency after every few sessions to fit your needs as we progress in our work together.
